‘Indiana Jones 5’: First Set Photos Leak Ahead of the Start of Filming

Indiana Jones

James Mangold’s Indiana Jones 5 is about to start filming, after having a few months of intense casting. And the first set photos have leaked, showing us a quick look at some of the production designs for one setpiece of the movie.

Harrison Ford will be back (and for the last time) in the title role, with Phoebe Waller-Bridge attached as his co-star, and no Shia LaBeouf at all. The new pictures come to us via Reddit, and they are saying that filming for the new movie will start in a week. Take a look:

Don’t know about you, but they sure do look like an Indiana Jones set, especially the second one. They are actually from Bamburgh Castle, in North-East England. Filming will start there, although we don’t know for how long the crew will stick around. You can check out here more leaked pictures and see more images of the castle. It is currently unknown what the plot will revolve around, and we have a long year of waiting ahead of us.

So far, the cast includes Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Boyd Holbrook, and Shaunette Reneé Wilson. The project will be directed by James Mangold, who is taking over directing duties from Steven Spielberg, who is still very actively involved in the creative side of things. He will be credited as executive producer. Jonathan Kasdan (Solo: A Star Wars Story), son of Lawrence Kasdan, who wrote the original Raiders of the Lost Ark, was recently hired to rework the previous draft by David Koepp. Koepp wrote the previous installment in the franchise, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall, and Simon Emanuel are producing. John Williams will also be back to score the movie.

Indiana Jones 5 will be released on July 29, 2022. We will keep you posted as more pictures start to leak when filming begins.
