‘House of the Dragon’ Season 2 Trailer Confirms Summer 2024 Release

House of the Dragon Season 2

HBO revealed over the weekend the first teaser trailer for the new season of House of the Dragon. They have also confirmed that the new episodes are on track to come out next summer.

Check it out here:

The new season will be eight episodes long and will feature the return of Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans. Additional returning cast includes Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, and Matthew Needham.

There are also new additions to the cast: Clinton Liberty as Addam of Hull, Jamie Kenna as Ser Alfred Broome, Kieran Bew as Hugh, Tom Bennett as Ulf, Tom Taylor as Lord Cregan Stark, Vincent Regan as Ser Rickard Thorne, Abubakar Salim as Alyn of Hull, Gayle Rankin as Alys Rivers, Freddie Fox as Ser Gwayne Hightower, and Simon Russell Beale as Ser Simon Strong.

The first season of House of the Dragon was a giant success for the network, scoring some of its biggest ratings ever. That proved execs that there was still hunger for more stories from Westeros, which prompted them to develop new spin-off series. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is supposed to go into production next year. A story focused on Aegon the Conqueror’s quest was also in discussions at the network earlier this year, and a sequel series focused on Kit Harington’s Jon Snow was also reported to be in development but nothing has come of it in over a year.
