‘Stranger Things’ Releases Trailer for Season 4 Vol. 1, All Episodes Set To Be Over an Hour Long

Stranger Things

Netflix released today the main trailer for the first half of season 4 of Stranger Things.

After a long hiatus, Hawkins is back… with a vengeance. Check out the new trailer below:

Season 4 will be the penultimate season and will air in two parts. The first half of the season will hit Netflix on May 27, 2022, while the second half will debut on July 1, 2022. Matt Duffer, co-creator of the series, said during a panel last weekend that all episodes will be over one hour long:

“I don’t think we have an episode clocking in under an hour – even in Season 1 there were episodes that were like 35 minutes. You kind of forget that. This season, they’re very long, so I think it’s almost double the length of any season. So that’s one reason it’s taken so long. It does have this sort of epic quality to it. It’s a different feel, for sure.”

In a statement released earlier this year, the Duffer Brothers confirmed that this is their most ambitious season yet and that there will be nine episodes. We don’t know yet how many episodes there will be on each volume. They said:

“With nine scripts, over 800 pages, almost two years of filming, thousands of visual effects shots, and a runtime nearly twice the length of any previous season, Stranger Things 4 was the most challenging season yet, but also the most rewarding one. Everyone involved is incredibly proud of the results, and we can’t wait to share it with you.”

Stay tuned for more news on Stranger Things season 4 as the May 27 release date approaches.
