Brie Larson To Appear in ‘Fast & Furious 10’, Confirms Vin Diesel
Vin Diesel has confirmed on his Instagram account that Oscar-winning actress Brie Larson will be appearing in the upcoming Fast & Furious 10.
The lead actor posted the above picture with the two of them alongside the following message:
“Yeah yeah yeah… you see this angel over my shoulder cracking me up, you say to your self “ that’s captain Marvel”. Clearly there is love and laughter in this image. What you don’t see however, is the character you will be introduced to in Fast10. You have no idea how timeless and amazing she will be in our mythology. Beyond her beauty, her intellect… her Oscar, haha is this profound soul who will add something you might not have expected but yearned for.
Welcome to the FAMILY Brie.”
Not much else is known about her character at the moment. The actress has previously expressed her desire to appear in one of the Fast & Furious movies. A couple of months ago, in an interview with Uproxx, the actress said the following when asked if she’d like to appear in the franchise:
“One hundred percent. One hundred percent.
Please, please tell everybody I would of course want to be in a Fast & Furious movie. I’m obsessed. I love them. I think they’re so good. They’re so fun. And they’ve made me appreciate cars. And it’s something that should be appreciated. They’re incredible. So of course, please.”
It’s unknown if at the time she’d already been cast. Jason Momoa had been announced as part of the ensemble a couple of weeks before that interview debuted, so the casting process has been going on for a while. Just last month it was reported that The Suicide Squad actress Daniela Melchior was also in final negotiations to join the project.
Fast & Furious 10 is either already filming or about to begin principal photography. Justin Lin, who has directed five out of the nine entries in the main saga, is returning to helm both 10 and 11, which is set to be the closing chapter. The tenth installment is currently aiming for a May 19, 2023, release date.
