‘Fast & Furious 10’ Recruits ‘The Suicide Squad’s Daniela Melchior
The Suicide Squad‘s Daniela Melchior is in negotiations to join the tenth installment of the Fast & Furious saga.
This is according to The Wrap, who have learned the Portuguese actress will be appearing alongside Vin Diesel, Ludacris, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, and Sung Kang, as well as newcomer to the franchise Jason Momoa, who would apparently be playing one of the villains this time around. Justin Lin is coming back to the director’s chair one more time. Nothing else is known about the movie at the moment, except for the fact that it’s going to be the entrance hall to the big finale of the franchise, which will come with the eleventh installment.
The previous entry, F9, had a great run at the box office, making over $720M worldwide and being responsible for having a lot of people back in the theaters during the early days of the summer of 2021. While it was nowhere near the success of Furious 7 or The Fate of the Furious, it still managed to crack the number 5 spot at the worldwide box office last year.
Daniela Melchior gave a great performance in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad last year as Ratcatcher 2. The actress is currently waiting for the release of two movies — Assassin Club, with Henry Golding, Noomi Rapace, and Sam Neill, and Marlowe, with Diane Kruger and Liam Neeson.
Fast & Furious 10 will speed into theaters on May 19, 2023. Filming will probably begin shortly.
Miguel Fernández is a Spanish student that has movies as his second passion in life. His favorite movie of all time is The Lord of the Rings, but he is also a huge Star Wars fan. However, fantasy movies are not his only cup of tea, as authors like Scorsese, Fincher, Kubrick or Hitchcock have been an obsession for him since he started to understand the language of filmmaking. He is that guy who will watch a black and white movie, just because it is in black and white.
