First Trailer Arrives for ‘The Punisher’ Season Two
Frank Castle is back in the first trailer for season two of The Punisher. And so is Billy Russo, as the new trailer contrasts Castle with his former friend turned enemy ahead of the series return later this month.
Pardoned at the end of last season, The Punisher returns with Frank on the road but it doesn’t take long for him to find a new fight.
“Former marine-turned-vigilante Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) has been living a quiet life on the road until he suddenly becomes embroiled in the attempted murder of a young girl (Giorgia Whigham). As he is drawn into the mystery surrounding her and those in pursuit of the information she holds, Castle attracts a new target on his back as new and old enemies force him to confront whether he should accept his destiny and embrace a life as The Punisher.
Steve Lightfoot (Hannial) serves as showrunner, writer, and executive producer. The cast also features Ben Barnes (Billy Russo), Amber Rose Revah (Dinah Madani), Jason R. Moore (Curtis), Josh Stewart (John Pilgrim) and Floriana Lima (Dr. Krista Dumont).”
In addition to the tense teaser, Netflix also released four preview images of Castle and Russo, showcasing Russo’s Jigsaw mask, his scarred face following last season’s brutal climax, and Castle suited up as The Punisher.
Following Netflix’s recent cancellation of Daredevil, and both Luke Cage and Iron Fist before that, many fans are bracing themselves for this to be The Punisher‘s final season. If that’s the case, let’s hope Castle gets the send off he deserves.
The Punisher returns to Netflix on January 18th.
