“For ‘Gotham'” – New Trailer Promises Epic Final Season
The shadow of the bat falls on Gotham as IGN debuts a new trailer for next year’s final season. Chaos reigns and no one is coming to help. In the crucible of No Man’s Land, Bruce must embrace his destiny. The Dark Knight is coming.
The trailer, narrated by Ben McKenzie’s Gordon, shows a city in anarchy as the young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) asks “What choice do I have?” Bruce isn’t the only one preparing to embrace his destiny. The trailer gives fleeting glimpses of fan favorite villains including Penguin and Riddler, the new threat of Shane West’s Bane, Jeremiah and Ecco looking more like Joker and Harley Quinn than ever before, and even teases a confrontation between Bruce and Camren Bicondova’s Selina as they take their final steps towards becoming Batman and Catwoman.
And speaking of final steps. The trailer ends on the image of Bruce Wayne, the shadow of the bat behind him. It’s an image that’s extremely reminiscent of the poster for Smallville‘s final season, which saw Clark casting the shadow of Superman, and I wouldn’t be surprised if FOX use it for a poster of their own as Gotham heads into it’s final season.
Gotham returns January 3rd 2019.
