Julia Garner Joins Christopher Abbott in ‘Wolf Man’
The cast of Universal’s Wolf Man keeps expanding, as The Hollywood Reporter is saying that three-time Emmy winner Julia Garner (Ozark) is set to star in the pic as well.
The project received a major boost at the end of last year, when Leigh Whannell, who had originally departed the project, took over from Derek Cianfrance. Ryan Gosling also exited, with Christopher Abbott now attached as the lead.
In the story, Abbott and Julia Garner will play a married couple part of a town that is being terrorized by a lethal predator, according to THR. Filming should begin soon, as Universal has dated it for October 25, 2024. Jason Blum is producing via Blumhouse, with Whannell and Corbett Tuck credited as writers from a previous draft by Dumb Money‘s Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo.
Gosling, Ken Kao, Bea Sequeira, Mel Turner, and Whannell will receive executive producer credit. Whannell is already a Blumhouse veteran, having directed the 2020 hit The Invisible Man with Elisabeth Moss.
Garner’s last project, the psychological thriller The Royal Hotel, co-stars Jessica Henwick and is available in the US on PVOD. Ozark is also available on Netflix. She also starred in Maniac and the miniseries Inventing Anna, both on Netflix too. She is also the female lead of Paramount’s Apartment 7A, from director Natalie Erika James.

He is that guy who will watch a black and white movie, just because it is in black and white.
