Quantumania has a lot going on. As the title suggests, it features the return of both Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne — in a classic family adventure, they will be shrinking their way down to the Quantum Realm. But this is not National Lampoon’s Vacation, as down there awaits none other than Kang the Conqueror himself, played by the almighty Jonathan Majors, who already made his debut as a variant of the character in the Loki season 1 finale, where he was referred to as He Who Remains. In the events of that episode, the Multiverse was opened up and the Kang variants were set free. He is a time traveler who has already interacted with the Avengers, though we haven’t seen that yet. Kang might also be appearing in the second season of Loki, which has just wrapped shooting and is on schedule to hit Disney Plus next summer. More Kang variants are also rumored to be appearing in unspecified MCU projects coming in the near future — this is essentially Jonathan Major’s saga.

In addition, the third Ant-Man movie sees the return as Corey Stoll, who played Yellowjacket in the 2015 movie, and the introduction of Bill Murray into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film will also present another iconic Marvel character in MODOK.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is scheduled for a theatrical release on February 17, 2023. Peyton Reed is back in the director’s chair, with Jeff Loveness credited as the sole screenwriter this time around. Loveness is on duty to write the upcoming Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, a natural fit given he will be the writer that first introduces the main villain of this MCU saga. Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly are joined once again by Michelle Pfeiffer and Michael Douglas. Kathryn Newton takes on the role of Cassie Lang, who will probably become Stature in the new movie, and Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror, as mentioned above. Corey Stoll, Randall Park, and Bill Murray round up the cast.

Next in line for Marvel is Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which will debut in theaters on November 11.
