‘Ironheart’ Disney Plus Series Casts Zoe Terakes
Marvel Studios has officially signed Zoe Terakes to star in the upcoming Ironheart series for Disney Plus.
The news was first reported by Deadline earlier this week, with Terakes later confirming it on social media. They are a transgender, non-binary actor mostly known for their work on Nine Perfect Strangers and Wentworth. The news came out just a few weeks after Shea Couleé (RuPaul’s Drag Race) was reported to be joining the cast earlier this month. A report from POC Culture earlier this year pointed out that Ironheart would be the first Marvel Studios project to feature a transgender woman, that would be Black, Latina, or Afro-Latina, aged 18-22. It’s unknown if Terakes will be playing that role, since details are being kept under wraps, and while the description doesn’t exactly fit Terakes’, background information on the character could have changed or been mistaken.
Ironheart has been filming for 2.5 months in Atlanta and will be Riri Williams’ first solo outing in the MCU after her introduction in the upcoming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. News from the set is emerging practically every day, with recent set photos giving us our first look at Riri’s suit, as well as Anthony Ramos as The Hood. Williams is played by Dominique Thorne and is also joined on the cast by Alden Ehrenreich, who is rumored to be playing Ezekiel “Zeke” Stane/Iron Monger, Obadiah Stane’s son and another villain of the series, Harper Anthony, and Lyric Ross. Rumors point to at least two main villains in the show, The Hood (who would go on to play a significant role in the MCU thereafter) and Ezekiel Stane. The former would introduce supernatural elements into the narrative, which is set to focus on the battle between technology and magic.
Ironheart is scheduled to debut on Disney Plus during the fall of 2023.

However, fantasy movies are not his only cup of tea, as authors like Scorsese, Fincher, Kubrick or Hitchcock have been an obsession for him since he started to understand the language of filmmaking. He is that guy who will watch a black and white movie, just because it is in black and white.
