Marvel Studios’ Halloween Special Started Filming This Week
Marvel Studios has begun principal photography on their upcoming Disney Plus Halloween special.
The project, which will be directed by Michael Giacchino (yes, the composer, who will be making his directorial debut), stars Gael García Bernal and Laura Donnelly. Via The Direct, the official production website from Georgia is now listing Buzzcut, a TV special for Disney Plus. Buzzcut is the working title for the project.
Marvel Studios would be aiming for an October release on the streaming service, and since this is expected to have the length of an average TV special (let’s say around an hour), there’s plenty of time for the team to have it ready by then. The project doesn’t have an official title yet, and in fact, Marvel Studios has been very quiet about it. Plot or story details are also scarce, and it is assumed that it will revolve around the character of the Werewolf, who, coincidentally, is a classic comic villain of Moon Knight’s.
This will not be the only television special coming our way this year from Marvel Studios. The Disney-owned company is currently shooting a Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, which James Gunn keeps describing as the craziest thing he’s ever made. Production on that is set to last for a few more weeks in Atlanta. Set photos leaked earlier this week, and you can check them out here.
Miguel Fernández is a Spanish student that has movies as his second passion in life. His favorite movie of all time is The Lord of the Rings, but he is also a huge Star Wars fan. However, fantasy movies are not his only cup of tea, as authors like Scorsese, Fincher, Kubrick or Hitchcock have been an obsession for him since he started to understand the language of filmmaking. He is that guy who will watch a black and white movie, just because it is in black and white.
