Just Say the Word – New ‘Shazam!’ Poster Arrives
Get ready to say the magic word. Zachary Levi has just revealed the first theatrical poster for DC Film’s Shazam!
Taking to Instagram the film’s star shared the poster along with the promise of a new trailer coming in the new year.
Whilst the image in the poster isn’t new, it’s the same one that graced Entertainment Weekly’s Comic Con cover, it perfectly captures the tone of the teaser trailer. It’s the ideal image for the first theatrical poster.
With Aquaman hitting screens around the world from next week, many DC fans were hoping for a new Shazam! trailer. Last month director David Sandberg said the trailer wasn’t ready yet as they wanted the visual effect to look as good as possible;

Levi’s message confirms we’ll have to wait a little bit longer. But that’s ok. The movie is looking like it will be another win for DC. And Sandberg is right to say the internet can be unforgiving to bad looking effects in a trailer. Better to wait and put out the best trailer possible rather than rush and risk avoidable negativity.
Shazam! hits theaters April 5th 2019.
