Joivan Wade Cast as Cyborg in ‘Doom Patrol’
British Actor Joivan Wade is joining the DC Universe as Doom Patrol‘s Cyborg.
Back May it was announced that a Doom Patrol series would be coming to the upcoming DC Universe streaming platform, spinning out of the Titans series that is set to debut with the streaming service later this year.
Perhaps the most intriguing thing about the announcement was the revelation that Cyborg would be the one who calls the team to action. Now we know who will be bringing Victor Stone to life in the Titans universe.
Deadline describe Wade’s Cyborg as “charming and sarcastic”, connected to every computer in the world but struggling to maintain the connections that make him human.
The Doom Patrol is starting to take shape. In addition to Joivan Wade’s Cyborg, Diane Guerrero and April Bowlby have both recently joined the cast as Crazy Jane and Elasti Woman respectively.
The thirteen episode series from Berlanti Productions is due to premiere on the DC Universe platform next year. It’s possible that Cyborg may also appear in Titans when it launches with the service later this year.
