A Hero Rises in New Trailer for Lionsgate’s ‘Robin Hood’
The legend of Sherwood Forest’s greatest outlaw is set to be retold in the new trailer for Robin Hood.
The trailer highlights Robin’s (Taron Egerton) training under Little John (Jamie Foxx), transforming a Lord into the greatest thief Britain has ever known, before teasing at daring heist from the Sheriff of Nottingham’s (Ben Mendelsohn) treasury.
Robin Hood’s story has been told by everyone from Disney to Ridley Scott, so it can be hard to bring something new to the table. For this new adaptation, director Otto Bathurst is giving us a heist movie. Going all in with fast paced action, along with just a hint of a buddy-movie vibe between Robin and his band of outlaws. The idea certainly fits the fabled thief, and the playful tone helps set it apart from Scott’s more sombre 2010 origin movie. Hopefully his aim is true when the film is released later this year. The trailer certainly promises an entertaining adventure.
Robin Hood is directed by Otto Bathurst and is due for release on November 21st 2018.
