Paul Thomas Anderson Casts Teyana Taylor, Wood Harris, Alana Haim, Shayna McHayle In Mystery Movie
Filming is underway in Eureka, California, on the new film by Paul Thomas Anderson, which has enlisted Leo DiCaprio and Regina Hall to star. PTA has kept details on the production tightly under wraps, but we’re getting news of more actors joining the ensemble. Apparently, Teyana Taylor (A Thousand and One), Alana Haim (who already worked with PTA in Licorice Pizza), Wood Harris (Creed III), and Shayna McHayle (the actress and rapper who appeared in Support the Girls with Hall).
Paul Thomas Anderson is writing, producing, and directing the untitled pic, which has been rumored for a while to be an adaptation of Thomas Pynchon’s Vineland. Set pictures have been leaking for a few days now showing Leo DiCaprio on set with his supposed on-screen daughter, played by Chase Infiniti. Warner Bros. is overseeing: Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy have a long relationship with PTA after working with him at MGM on Licorice Pizza and Boogie Nights.
The production name is BC Project, and it will soon be moving out of California into Texas and Mexico. Filming is expected to go on at least until the end of March. No release date has been set, but expect this one to have a major impact in the 2025/26 awards season! Licorice Pizza didn’t earn a lot of Oscar nominations, but it got three of the biggest ones: Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay. Leo DiCaprio was shut out of the nominations this year for Killers of the Flower Moon.
Miguel Fernández is a Spanish student that has movies as his second passion in life. His favorite movie of all time is The Lord of the Rings, but he is also a huge Star Wars fan. However, fantasy movies are not his only cup of tea, as authors like Scorsese, Fincher, Kubrick or Hitchcock have been an obsession for him since he started to understand the language of filmmaking. He is that guy who will watch a black and white movie, just because it is in black and white.
