‘Civil War’: Alex Garland Returns In One of the Scariest Trailers of the Year
After last year’s Men came and went almost unnoticed, Alex Garland is returning to the big screen with what seems like a project that’s been years in the making. Titled Civil War, the film follows the ultra-realistic scenario of a United States so politically divided a civil war erupts, forcing each citizen to ask the question: “What kind of American are you?” The land of the free and home of the brave is no longer just divided over how they feel about people outside the border; they have now enemies inside of it too.

The cast includes Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Cailee Spaeny, Jesse Plemons, Nick Offerman, Karl Glusman, Sonoya Mizuno, Jonica T. Gibbs, and Jess Matney. Alex Garland writes and directs.
The film seems to be one of many that will come out next year in time for the next big Presidential Election, which will inevitably be even harder to handle than the last two for everyone in the country. Garland seems to have gone for broke, and according to World of Reel, it may even be the last film he directs.
Civil War comes out on April 26, 2024.
Miguel Fernández is a Spanish student that has movies as his second passion in life. His favorite movie of all time is The Lord of the Rings, but he is also a huge Star Wars fan. However, fantasy movies are not his only cup of tea, as authors like Scorsese, Fincher, Kubrick or Hitchcock have been an obsession for him since he started to understand the language of filmmaking. He is that guy who will watch a black and white movie, just because it is in black and white.
