‘Furiosa’: First Trailer Revealed for ‘Fury Road’ Prequel Starring Anya Taylor-Joy
Warner Bros. stopped by CCXP in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to debut the first-ever look at the new Mad Max: Fury Rod film Furiosa, which stars Anya Taylor-Joy as the character first introduced in the 2015 Best Picture nominee, then played by Charlize Theron.

“As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.”
George Miller is back as director and co-writer, along with Nico Lathouris. The main crew behind Fury Road is also back. In addition to Taylor-Joy, the cast includes Chris Hemsworth, Tom Burke, and Alyla Browne.
Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga premieres in theaters on May 24, 2024. It is expected to first roll out at the Cannes Film Festival.
