Second ‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ Trailer Ushers Chaos, Tickets Already on Sale

Giganotosaurus and T-Rex face off in Jurassic World: Dominion

Universal Pictures has finally released the second Jurassic World: Dominion trailer, roughly a month and a half before the film roars in theaters.

Everyone was expecting Universal to double down on the third Jurassic World during this year’s CinemaCon panel, and that’s exactly what happened. It’s by far the company’s biggest release of 2022, and Colin Trevorrow appears to have taken some big swings, delivering a huge finale that pays homage to all five previous Jurassic installments.

Check out the new trailer, which has just debuted online after last night’s show, below:

As previously speculated, the biggest threats in Dominion are coming from corporations and governments mishandling these prehistoric creatures and the genetic material and tech sold in 2018’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom to anyone with deep pockets. This time around, nefarious company BioSyn, the company that sabotaged the original Jurassic Park and wanted to steal InGen’s secrets, comes to the forefront and brings the saga full circle.

Fan excitement is through the roof due to the return of the original Jurassic Park trio: Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum. They join Jurassic World veterans Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Daniella Pineda, Omar Sy, Justice Smith, Isabella Sermon, and BD Wong. The list of newcomers includes Mamoudou Athie, Dichen Lachman, Campbell Scott, and DeWanda Wise. It’s looking like a crowded film, which also happens to have the franchise’s highest count of prehistoric animals, so its runtime will be gigantic as well: 2 hours and 26 minutes.

On top of the new trailer, Vanity Fair has an extensive interview with the Jurassic Park veterans. It mostly deals with the original film and how the group’s connection makes a prominent return in Dominion. It’s a good read, and the magazine also shared a new batch of screengrabs from their upcoming adventure together:

Director and co-writer Colin Trevorrow has already confirmed this won’t end with dinosaurs and other prehistoric beasts taking over the planet — they’re just out-of-time animals looking to fit in a new world unknown to them. Moreover, producer Frank Marshall has mentioned that, in spite of closing a six-film arc, Jurassic World: Dominion won’t mark the end of the entire franchise.

The film opens exclusively in theaters on June 10, and tickets are now on sale. The following month, on July 21, the animated series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous will reach the finish line as well with a fifth and final season.
