New ‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters’ Ad Shows Bonkers Action

Godzilla Atomic Breath 2014
The latest Godzilla: King of the Monsters ad shows plenty of new footage of the titular monster, alongside the likes of King Ghidorah, Mothra, and Rodan (among others) fighting for the top position as the true monarch that will rule over the other Titans.

The latest clip features a ton of new content to look over, including multiple new shots of the Big G charging up and firing his Atomic Breath and the Three-Headed Devil blasting Gravity Beams into the sky and throughout a cityscape. Meanwhile, the human cast (which includes Ken Watanabe, Millie Bobbie Brown, Kyle Chandler, and Vera Farminga) try to assess just how many Titans there really are, and it turns out that there are seventeen… And counting. Dr. Serizawa wasn’t kidding when he stated that the human race was bound to be Godzilla’s pet in a best-case scenario. Humanity’s best hope is that there are others that are willing to defend, or at least tolerate, humanity, because the Earth of the MonsterVerse does not belong to us tiny mammals.

The film’s synopsis is as follows:

Following the global success of Godzilla and Kong: Skull Island comes the next chapter in Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ cinematic MonsterVerse, an epic action adventure that pits Godzilla against some of the most popular monsters in pop culture history. The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species – thought to be mere myths – rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters is directed by Michael Dougherty and roars into theaters on May 31, 2019.
