Kristen Stewart and Naomi Scott Cast in Charlie’s Angels Reboot

Kristin Stewart and Naomi Scott will star in Charlie's Angels reboot

Kristen Stewart, Ella Balinska and Naomi Scott will star in the reboot of Charlie’s Angels, directed by Elizabeth Banks.

It has been long rumoured, but Deadline has officially confirmed that  Stewart, Scott and upcoming British actress Balinska will be starring as the three Angels in the film’s reboot.

They report that the new film will focus on a new generation of Angels, once again working for the mysterious Charlie. It seems that this reboot is set in the same universe as the one that starred Lucy Liu, Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore.

Since those films took place, the Townsend Agency has gone global, providing their intelligence and security services to clients around the world. Stewart, Scott and Balinska’s characters are simply one of those many teams.

This will be Kristin Stewart’s first big budget franchise since Twilight, having starred in multiple indie films since then.

Naomi Scott got her big break in Power Rangers, which also starred Elizabeth Banks, and is set to appear as Jasmine in Disney’s live action Aladdin remake.

Balinska previously starred in Midsomer Murders and The Athena TV series. As well as directing and co-writing the script, Banks will also play Bosley on the big screen.

That’s all we know about the reboot so far, the first film in the franchise since Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle was released in 2003, earning $259m worldwide. For more news on the Charlie’s Angels reboot, stay tuned to MNN.
