“Long Live the King” – Godzilla Rules SDCC with a New Trailer
“I’m still a kid playing with Godzilla toys, they’re just much bigger Godzilla toys,” said director Michael Dougherty as he and the cast took to the stage at SDCC to introduce the first full trailer for Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
Before introducing the new trailer, Dougherty revealed that he had an iPad with speakers set up whilst filming that allowed him to play Godzilla’s famous roar for the cast whilst they shot their scenes.
The trailer shows a world in ruins, with mankind searching for “titans” that may be able help them save the world.
Dougherty confirmed that King of the Monsters will feature “Godzilla, Rodan, Mothra, King Ghidorah, and a few more surprises along the way.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters is due to roar into theatres May 2019.
