‘I Saw the TV Glow’: Trailer Revealed for Sundance Darling, Releasing May 3

I Saw the TV Glow

One of the biggest movies coming out of the Sundance Film Festival in January was Jane Schoenbrun’s I Saw the TV Glow, which earned rave reviews ahead of its worldwide distribution by A24 coming this summer.

 

The indie company released today the first trailer for the film, and announced a May 3 release date. Check it out here:

 

 

The cast includes Justice Smith, Brigette Lundy-Paine, Ian Foreman, Helena Howard, with Fred Durst and Danielle Deadwyler. Producers of the film are Emma Stone, Dave McCary, Ali Herting, Sam Intili, Sarah Winshall.

 

In terms of the actual plot of I Saw the TV Glow, there seems to be a cloud of secrecy surrounding it, to avoid spoilers for those who still haven’t watched it. The official synopsis reads:

 

“Teenager Owen is just trying to make it through life in the suburbs when his classmate introduces him to a mysterious late-night TV show — a vision of a supernatural world beneath their own. In the pale glow of the television, Owen’s view of reality begins to crack.”

 

The film holds a 91% on Rotten Tomatoes.
