‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’ First Trailer Revealed
The first trailer for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, the long-in-the-works follow-up to the prequel trilogy from the 2010s, has been released. The film will pick up decades after War for the Planet of the Apes and will focus on the rise of a tyrannical ape leader trying to assemble a new empire and break up the prosperous society that his species has set up, where humans are second-class citizens. We follow our hero on his journey of self-discovery to try to take down the evil leader.
Wes Ball, of Maze Runner fame, has been working on the project since late 2019, and finally started production a year ago. The film is scheduled for May 24, 2024, and stars Owen Teague, Freya Allan, Kevin Durand, Peter Macon, and William H. Macy. The script is by Josh Friedman (War of the Worlds), Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver (Rise of the Planet of the Apes), and Patrick Aison (Prey).

Miguel Fernández is a Spanish student that has movies as his second passion in life. His favorite movie of all time is The Lord of the Rings, but he is also a huge Star Wars fan. However, fantasy movies are not his only cup of tea, as authors like Scorsese, Fincher, Kubrick or Hitchcock have been an obsession for him since he started to understand the language of filmmaking. He is that guy who will watch a black and white movie, just because it is in black and white.
