Will Gluck (Easy A) directs the new romantic comedy for Sony Pictures Anyone But You, starring Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney as two former college rivals who reunite years later and are forced, due to personal reasons, to pretend like they are dating at an upcoming destination wedding they are set to attend.

The chemistry between the actors has been a topic of gossip for many months, after set photos emerged showing their palpable chemistry. Check out the first teaser trailer for the film here:

Here is the official synopsis:

In the edgy comedy Anyone But You, Bea (Sydney Sweeney) and Ben (Glen Powell) look like the perfect couple, but after an amazing first date something happens that turns their fiery hot attraction ice cold – until they find themselves unexpectedly thrust together at a destination wedding in Australia. So they do what any two mature adults would do: pretend to be a couple.

Anyone But You comes out in theaters on December 22, after the studio recently pushed it back a week. They obviously have great expectations for it to play well with audiences during the Christmas break, and hope to bank on star power alone, but with the current tumultuous situation with the SAG-AFTRA strike, who knows if Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell will even be available to do press for the film.

The cast also includes Alexandra Shipp, GaTa, Hadley Robinson, Michelle Hurd, Dermot Mulroney, Darren Barnet, and Rachel Griffiths. The script is by Ilana Wolpert and Will Gluck from a story by Wolpert.
