‘Halloween Ends’ Trailer Has Michael Myers Fight Laurie Strode One Last Time

Halloween Ends
Death has come for Haddonfield, one last time. The first trailer for Halloween Ends has arrived.

The red-band trailer for Halloween Ends dropped today ahead of the release of Jordan Peele’s Nope later this week, which it is expected to be screened with, showcasing a mix of new footage intercut with bits from the 2018 Halloween film and its sequel Halloween Kills. The trailer has arrived slightly ahead of schedule, shortly after bootleg copies of the trailer leaked out to social media and likely to attempt to avoid further leaks. Check it out below:

While the original plan for the Halloween revival trilogy was to have all three films take place on Halloween in 2018, Halloween Ends is instead set on Halloween 2022, four years after Michael terrorized the town a second time and 59 years after he killed his sister. Plot details that can be gleamed from this trailer are light, aside from the obvious fact that the movie will feature another confrontation between Laurie and Michael. Interestingly, the conversation from the cast and crew indicates that the movie will be some kind of departure from previous films in the series; while the movie is still clearly a slasher, how it’s approached is different. It could be quite possible that the trailers will mask some of the story twists in order to emphasize what appears to be the film’s final, climactic confrontation.

Halloween Ends will be released on October 14, 2022. The film is written and directed by David Gordon Green, and co-written by Paul Brad Logan, Chris Bernier, and Danny McBride. The movie stars Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, Andi Matichak as Allyson Nelson, Will Patton as Deputy Frank Hawkins, Rohan Campbell as Corey Cunningham, Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace, Michael O’Leary as Doctor Mathis, and Omar Dorsey as Sherriff Barker, plus James Jude Courtney and Nick Castle as Michael Myers/The Shape.
