‘Crimes of the Future’ First Look Revealed, and More About Cannes 2022 Lineup

Crimes of the Future Teaser Cannes 2022

With the Cannes Film Festival kicking off in a month, studios are starting to release first looks at some of the films debuting in France. That includes David Cronenberg’s latest mind-bending extravaganza, Crimes of the Future.

 

Neon is distributing the film, which stars Viggo Mortensen, Léa Seydoux, and Kristen Stewart. Check the 60-second teaser here:

 

 

A source told World of Reel last week that the movie will be even more controversial than 1996’s Crash, saying “The last twenty minutes are a very tough sit. I expect walk-outs, fainting, and real panic attacks (I almost had one myself!) at the Lumière theatre.”

 

Another director taking his latest movie to Cannes is Park Chan-wook (The Handmaiden, Oldboy), whose project Decision to Leave, starring Tang Wei and Park Hae-il, just debuted a new still image and a poster. Check them out below:

Cannes will also premiere George Miller’s Three Thousand Years of Longing, featuring Tilda Swinton and Idris Elba, Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis, and Top Gun: Maverick — all of these out of competition. Check out below the list of films in competition, courtesy of DiscussingFilm:
