From Sony:

An original movie event, Bullet Train is a fun, delirious action-thriller from the director of Deadpool 2, David Leitch. Brad Pitt headlines an ensemble cast of eclectic, diverse assassins – all with connected yet conflicting objectives – set against the backdrop of a non-stop ride through modern-day Japan.

As seen in the trailer, the plot revolves around a group of hitmen and assassins with conflicting motives on a train that departs from Tokyo. Tonally, it was initially described as Speed meets Non-Stop. Those who have been paying attention to movie news for the past few months may already know this was the movie that convinced Sony to cast Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kraven the Hunter in the upcoming live-action Marvel flick, after producers from the studio started seeing dailies from production and were very impressed with him. He appears briefly in the trailer, as does an unrecognizable Michael Shannon.

David Leitch directed Bullet Train, from a script by Zak Olkewicz (Fear Street: 1978), based on the novel Maria Beetle by Kotaro Isaka. Leitch himself, Antoine Fuqua, and Kelly McCormick are producers.
