‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods’ First Trailer Manifests at San Diego Comic-Con
Warner Bros. has delivered on its promise to debut the first trailer of Shazam! Fury of the Gods at the San Diego Comic-Con Hall H panel.
Zachary Levi and the rest of the cast appeared on the stage to briefly discuss the movie and introduce the first trailer, which you can check out here:
The panel began with a small clip from the film that featured Rachel Zegler’s character asking Billy how the Shazam family met, and Billy replying “Comic-Con!” The sequel will be set a few years after the 2019 film, and will have the group as established heroes in the DC Universe. They also confirmed that the daughters of Atlas (played by Derek Russo) will be the villains of the film.
Also at the panel were Jack Dylan Grazer, Lucy Liu (who brought her staff from the movie), and director David F. Sandberg. Helen Mirren and Rachel Zegler joined virtually. During the Q&A, Levi dodged questions involving a potential Shazam vs. Superman and Shazam vs. Black Adam. He also said that a Shazam threequel will depend on Fury of the Gods‘ box office.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods will storm theaters on December 21. David F. Sandberg directed a script by Henry Gayden and Chris Morgan. The cast includes Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Helen Mirren, Rachel Zegler, Adam Brody, Lucy Liu, Meagan Good, Grace Caroline Currey, Jack Dylan Grazer, Derek Russo, and Djimon Hounsou, among many others.
Miguel Fernández is a Spanish student that has movies as his second passion in life. His favorite movie of all time is The Lord of the Rings, but he is also a huge Star Wars fan. However, fantasy movies are not his only cup of tea, as authors like Scorsese, Fincher, Kubrick or Hitchcock have been an obsession for him since he started to understand the language of filmmaking. He is that guy who will watch a black and white movie, just because it is in black and white.
