‘Only Murders in the Building’ Drops First Look at Season 2

Only Murders in the Building Season 2

Only Murders in the Building is coming back sooner than expected.

Our favorite trio from the Arconia may have left our lives just a few months ago, but it already feels like ages. However, worry not, because Hulu will reward our patience by premiering the new season of the hit show on June 28. The company made the announcement late last week, and during the Oscars telecast, they dropped a short first look at the new season. Check it out:

Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, and Martin Short are all back, as is Nathan Lane, who played Teddy Dimas in season 1. They are now joined by Andrea Martin, Zoe Colletti, Shirley MacLaine, Cara Delevingne, and Amy Schumer. The last two can be seen in the short teaser. Short revealed back in January how delighted he was with the cast of the show:

“Before Christmas, [I shot scenes with] Shirley MacLaine and Amy Schumer. The quality of actor that this show is attracting makes it endlessly fun to go to work.”

Karey Burke, president of 20th Television, said in a press release:

“There has been something about this project that felt almost fated from the start; from [co-creator Dan Fogelman’s] first lunch with Steve in which Steve happened to mention he had an idea for a series, to [co-creator and executive producer John Hoffman] jumping aboard to co-create it, to Steve’s agreeing to star but only if Marty joined him, to the inspired addition of Selena. The comedy this team delivered has been the obsession of every executive at this studio, and our friends at Hulu have treated it like the crown jewel that it is.”

The official synopsis for season 2 reads as follows:

“Following the shocking death of Arconia Board President Bunny Folger, Charles, Oliver & Mabel race to unmask her killer. However, three (unfortunate) complications ensue—the trio is publicly implicated in Bunny’s homicide, they are now the subjects of a competing podcast, and they have to deal with a bunch of New York neighbors who all think they committed murder.”
