Sarah Snook To Lead ‘Run Rabbit Run,’ New Horror Thriller From ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ Director Daina Reid
It’s a good time to be Sarah Snook. Not only is she playing the best character in possibly one of the best shows currently on television (Succession), but she’s just been cast in the lead role of the upcoming horror thriller Run Rabbit Run.
According to Deadline, the call came after Elizabeth Moss had to drop out due to a scheduling conflict. And I guess that being the director’s second choice after Elizabeth Moss is quite an honor for Snook. Moreover, director Daina Reid and Moss previously worked together on The Handmaid’s Tale, so it’s possible Moss had the part from the beginning.
From the report, the story follows “a fertility doctor whose firm grasp on the cycle of life is put to the test as her young daughter begins to exhibit increasingly strange behavior.” Novelist Hannah Kent wrote the script from an original idea developed with Carver Films. Pre-production will begin this month, and the movie will shoot in Victoria and South Australia. Anna McLeish and Sarah Shaw of Carver Films will be producing, while XYZ Films, 30West, Deanne Weir, and Olivia Humphrey will executive produce.
As we said earlier, Sarah Snook can be currently seen in HBO’s Succession, which is probably the next Game of Thrones for the streamer, a show that people are watching as soon as it’s on to avoid spoilers at all costs. Season 3 has only two episodes left, with the next one coming out next Sunday. If you are not watching it, make sure to jump on that train as soon as possible — it won’t let you down.
No release date has been announced for Run Rabbit Run.
Miguel Fernández is a Spanish student that has movies as his second passion in life. His favorite movie of all time is The Lord of the Rings, but he is also a huge Star Wars fan. However, fantasy movies are not his only cup of tea, as authors like Scorsese, Fincher, Kubrick or Hitchcock have been an obsession for him since he started to understand the language of filmmaking. He is that guy who will watch a black and white movie, just because it is in black and white.
