‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League’: New Aquaman Sizzle Reel Features The Voice Of Vulko

Justice League

Today sees the release of a new Justice League sizzle reel, this time focused on Aquaman.

The clips revealed this time appear to be takes that were mostly in the theatrical version, but are adjusted to fit their proper context in the intended lighting and aspect ratio of the film. This time, we hear from Nuidis Vulko, Wonder Woman, Mera, Batman, and Steppenwolf, before ending on a quote from Aquaman.

Of the new ads so far, this reveals the least amount of new or changed footage from the theatrical iteration, which is interesting considering that there’s a significant emphasis placed on Vulko, a character cut from the theatrical version that later appeared in Aquaman, and his restored role in the narrative as the man who armors and arms Aquaman before he reluctantly joins the nascent Justice League.

In addition, Zack Snyder has revealed a new black-and-white poster of Aquaman:

The official Twitter account for the movie has revealed an alternate poster, several animated .GIFs, and an additional sizzle reel of the movie:

Like the new sizzle reel, this alternate sizzle reel largely emphasizes footage that was already seen in the original movie, just with changed lighting (the theatrical version paid homage to the red skies associated with “Crisis” DC Comics event stories by turning the skies dark red instead of having the climax just take place on a dark and cloudy night), and there’s a new shot of Aquaman in Steppenwolf’s inner sanctum. Other than that, this is the least revealing of the sizzle reels shown so far, but three still remain for the rest of the team.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League will release on HBO Max on March 18, 2021. In addition, Snyder claims that he’s making a black-and-white edit of the movie, and he has plans to release the finished movie in IMAX theaters if possible.
