First ‘Luca’ Trailer Released by Pixar
Pixar has finally released the first trailer for their next movie, Luca.
Following up Soul, Pixar is ready to shock the world with yet another (probably) masterful movie. It will continue Pixar’s recent trend of exploring new locales in its films by taking place in Italy. Enrico Casarosa (La Luna) directs the coming-of-age story, which he has described several times as “deeply personal to him.”
Luca focuses on a young boy living in the Italian Riviera who shares adventures with his newfound best friend. The twist? Both kids seem to be underwater creatures who are hiding their true identities. This is weird if we consider the previous details we had about the movie claimed only one of them was a creature. Maybe we are missing the full picture. For now, take a look at the new trailer:
And here’s the first poster, which debuted yesterday via Twitter:
Along with the first trailer, we have finally learned the cast for Luca, which includes Jacob Tremblay as Luca, Jack Dylan Grazer as Alberto, Maya Rudolph as Luca’s mother, Daniela, and Jim Gaffigan as Luca’s father, Lorenzo.
Luca is set to debut in theaters on June 18, 2021.
Miguel Fernández is a Spanish student that has movies as his second passion in life. His favorite movie of all time is The Lord of the Rings, but he is also a huge Star Wars fan. However, fantasy movies are not his only cup of tea, as authors like Scorsese, Fincher, Kubrick or Hitchcock have been an obsession for him since he started to understand the language of filmmaking. He is that guy who will watch a black and white movie, just because it is in black and white.
