SYFY Network to Air ‘Day of The Dead’ Tv Series
It’s been 52 years since the late George A. Romero’s groundbreaking zombie movie, Night of the Living Dead lurched into theaters, but now his zombies have found a new home.
SYFY and Cartel Entertainment are partnering for the upcoming 10 episode series set to air sometime in 2021. Cartel is working on Creepshow another Romero property. The series will focus on a small group of survivors trying to navigate a zombie outbreak.
The executive producers of Day of the Dead are Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas. The pair will also write the show. Stan Spry, Jeff Holland, and Drew Brown have been tapped to executive-produce on behalf of Cartel Entertainment. Also attached to the project are Robert Dudelson, James Dudelson, and Jordan Kizwani from HiTide Studios.
So far, no casting announcements have been made, but there is sure to be more information coming to us in the months ahead.
