Mysterio Consoles Spider-Man in New ‘Far From Home’ Trailer

Spider-Man
The latest Spider-Man: Far From Home ad continues to drive home that Peter is struggling in the fallout of the events of Avengers: Endgame, and has Spidey’s new ally help him come to terms with what’s happened. The movie serves as the last installment, and epilogue to, the 23-movie Infinity Saga of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The action-heavy trailer features a hint of pathos to what otherwise seems to be a lighthearted story, with a lot of new dialogue covering the fallout of Endgame. Specifically, the trailer shows how Peter Parker and the world are grieving the loss of Iron Man as the original six Avengers have effectively disbanded. But, as Nick Fury notes, he and Iron Man formed the Avengers for a reason, and since Iron Man made Spider-Man an Avenger during the events of Avengers: Infinity War, he has to carry that weight going forward, even if he only wants to be a friendly neighborhood superhero. The world needs a new hero like Iron Man to get behind, and it seems like Spidey is the best candidate… Even if he’s ostensibly on vacation.
