New ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ TV Spots and Posters Arrive

Spider-Man
Some new international TV spots for Spider-Man: Far From Home has arrived, alongside an assortment of character posters for middle chapter of Marvel Studios and Sony’s Spider-Man trilogy.

First come the new TV spots, which are all action-heavy and feature new scenes and dialogue. Among the things shown are an action sequence involving Molten Man and new shots of Mysterio in action. However, only the first one is in English. You can watch them below:

The ad very much plays up Spidey’s role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe going forward, so it seems likely that Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios are in this for the long haul, well past whenever the third Spider-Man movie comes out. Alongside this smorgasbord of new footage comes a handful of character posters and a group shot poster, all emphasizing the movie’s international locations:

While these posters are certainly a step above the infamous Photoshop disaster that was the final Spider-Man: Homecoming poster, it seems like they could have done better than “characters just standing there and looking up at something”. While Sony has (mostly) learned not to spoil everything in the trailers and TV spots (unlike what their ad agency did with Homecoming, which gave away the third-act twist that Iron Man takes the Spider-Man tech suit away from Peter after feeling he’s not ready), Far From Home seems like it needs some guidance on how to handle final posters… Or at least let the people who design the earlier posters handle the last posters.

The film’s synopses are as follows:

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man must step up to take on new threats in a world that has changed forever.

Peter Parker returns in Spider-Man: Far From Home, the next chapter of the Spider-Man: Homecoming series! Our friendly neighborhood Super Hero decides to join his best friends Ned, MJ, and the rest of the gang on a European vacation. However, Peter’s plan to leave super heroics behind for a few weeks are quickly scrapped when he begrudgingly agrees to help Nick Fury uncover the mystery of several elemental creature attacks, creating havoc across the continent!

Spider-Man: Far From Home will be released on July 2, 2019.
