Full Trailer and Posters Released for ‘Swamp Thing’
The first full trailer for Swamp Thing is here and it looks like DC Universe is going full on horror for their third live action series!
The trailer gives away virtually nothing about the story of the series, but is very effective at setting the tone. Given the horror roots of both executive producer James Wan and director Len Wiseman, it’s no surprise that the creative team behind the series appear to have been extremely successful in creating a look and feel that really embraces the dark roots of character. It’s creepy, it’s a little unsettling, and it’s nothing like anything I’ve seen from DC before, which makes me really excited to see what they have in store for us next month.
In addition to the new trailer, DC Universe also released a series of posters for the series. The posters, which were released on Earth Day, offer a clearer look at Derek Mears’ Swamp Thing and feature a darker take on the traditional green message of the day.
“Swamp Thing follows Abby Arcane as she investigates what seems to be a deadly swamp-born virus in a small town in Louisiana but soon discovers that the swamp holds mystical and terrifying secrets. When unexplainable and chilling horrors emerge from the murky marsh, no one is safe.”
Swamp Thing premieres May 31st only on DC Universe, with new episodes streaming every week.
