‘Avengers: Endgame’ Featurette Says Film Has Highest Stakes Ever

Avengers: Endgame
The latest Avengers: Endgame featurette promises massive stakes for the culmination of 11 years of filmmaking and all 22 movies that encompass that span of time. Also, the film is officially rated PG-13 by the MPAA (to absolutely nobody’s surprise) for “Sequences of Sci-Fi Violence and Action, and Some Language”.

The newest featurette is all about the stakes. Here, the cast and crew explain that, with half the universe dead and the only apparent means to fix it lying with someone who is functionally a god, the stakes have never been higher. Avengers: Infinity War, it seems, was only the beginning to this story, and things are only getting crazier – and more dangerous – from here in Endgame. Described as the “Finest Hour” for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, it’s noted that there are tons of surprises in store for longtime fans and that it will be difficult to top this kind of a movie, as they’ve saved the best for last.

Our heroes, composed of Iron Man, Hulk, War Machine, Black Widow, Thor, Hawkeye, Captain America, Rocket Raccoon, Nebula, Ant-Man, and Captain Marvel (along with Pepper Potts, Wong, Okoye, and Valkyrie) are tasked with undoing the massive amount of death and destruction caused by Thanos – potentially saving the lives of Nick Fury, Loki, the Winter Soldier, Maria Hill, Falcon, Star-Lord, Gamora, Groot, Drax, Scarlet Witch, Hank Pym, Wasp, Black Panther, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Mantis, Shuri, and Janet Van Dyne, among others. In the process of doing so, they will learn just how fragile their reality is.

The film’s official synopsis is as follows:

The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, Avengers: Endgame.

Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26, 2019.
