The ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Edit Locks; Alan Silvestri Working on Score
Avengers: Endgame is wrapping up post-production as the film’s continuity has been completely locked into place, and composer Alan Silvestri has started recording the film’s score with his orchestra.
Directors Joe and Anthony Russo aren’t known for being incredibly talkative on their shared Twitter page, so whenever they do say anything, it’s a big deal. Case in point, they’re prepared a ton of condiments for a massive ice cream sundae for themselves and the other crew members:

Yum. I’m sure that whatever sundaes that they whipped up were well-deserved after these two and the team at Marvel have produced some of the most ambitious blockbusters of the past five years.
A few days before this, Alan Silvestri posted a new image of himself and an orchestra getting started with the score for Avengers: Endgame, a sign that things were already coming to a close with key sequences from the film. Silvestri can be seen conducting his team of musicians in the image below.
The score is one of the last things to be completed for a motion picture, so – dare I say it – they’re in the endgame now. It feels surreal knowing that it’s been eleven years since this all started, and that this is nowhere near the end, with tons of new intellectual property set to join a growing universe, including some movie IPs that have been long separated from Marvel, but are now returning thanks to Disney’s acquisition of Fox. We may be seeing the end of one journey, but it seems as though this climactic chapter will be just as much about Marvel’s future as it is to its present and past.
The premise for the movie is as follows:
A culmination of 22 interconnected films the fourth installment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey. Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.
Avengers: Endgame will be released on April 26, 2019.
