Remaining LEGO ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Sets Keep Movie’s Secrets Intact

Avengers Endgame
The LEGO sets meant to arrive in time for Avengers: Endgame are set to do the impossible: avoid revealing most of the film’s secrets by focusing entirely on the surviving characters. Yes, that includes Thanos. Mild spoilers ahead!

As discussed previously, we know about War Machine’s gargantuan suit of armor gunning down Outriders with Ant-Man providing assistance. We also know about Captain America riding on a motorcycle and the Avengers Quinjet operated by Thor, Hawkeye, Black Widow, and Rocket as those sets of heroes set to do the exact same thing. Every single image has one thing in common: matching Avengers uniforms that are apparently tied to the Quantum Realm. Now, we have the remaining sets revealing the last of the characters.

The sets are listed as “Captain America: Outriders Attack”, “War Machine Buster”, “Iron Man: Hall of Armor”, “Avengers: Ultimate Quinjet”, and “Avengers Compound Battle”. Here’s a collage of all five Avengers: Endgame tie-in LEGO products together:

The “Hall of Armor” set contains multiple Iron Man Suits, including the Mark 1 from Iron Man, the Mark 5 from Iron Man 2, the Mark 38 and Mark 41 from Iron Man 3, the Mark 50 from Avengers: Infinity War, and several outriders. It seems likely that this movie will have some sort of spiritual successor to the memorable “House Party Protocol” sequence that closed out the Iron Man trilogy. Considering that this is the last movie on Robert Downey Junior’s contract, it seems kind of poetic that we’ll revisit the place where the Marvel Cinematic Universe effectively started in the grand finale for his character.

The fourth Avengers Endgame lego set has been revealed, Iron Man’s hall of armours. Comes with Mark 1, Mark 5, Mark 41, mark 50 and Igor. from MarvelStudiosSpoilers

The “Compound Battle” set is easily the largest set of the bunch. It features an attack by Thanos and an Outrider on the Avengers compound, which may or may not actually happen in the film itself. (Marvel is good at hiding spoilers, after all.) Thanos appears here with a surprisingly jovial Hulk, alongside Nebula and Captain Marvel, and an assortment of vehicles. Lastly, Iron Man appears in his Mark 85 armor, which is introduced in this film; his Quantum Realm suit is sold separately with a certain supporting character from the first Iron Man movie.

The final and largest Endgame lego set has been revealed. It seems to take place in rue Avengers compound and includes the Mark 85, Captain Marvel, Nebula in her advanced suit, a smiling Hulk (professor?), an Outrider and a new Thanos with armour, the infinity gauntlet and some kind of hammer. from MarvelStudiosSpoilers

Lastly, in some non-LEGO merchandise leaks that are relevant to the conversation, some popcorn tins give us new looks at the characters as they appear in the film itself:

We have solid confirmation here that, in spite of some bizarre speculation to the contrary, the Quantum Realm suits are 100% real. Interestingly, we can tell from the popcorn tins and the LEGO sets that Captain Marvel is the only member of the team that does not appear to have her own Quantum Realm suit, implying that she does not need it. (Perhaps her powers are derived from the Quantum Realm itself? We’ll find out in a few days.)

Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26, 2019.
