‘Captain Marvel’ Gets Wave of New TV Spots and Promos

Captain Marvel
As Captain Marvel‘s release date gets closer and closer, tons of new TV spots, featurettes, and clips of the film are making their way online.

First up are a trio of new TV spots. The first features some upbeat hard rock from the 1990s backing the action (featuring shots of Carol blasting several Kree soldiers and Talos with energy), while the second highlights the members of Starforce (the elite team of Kree warriors that Carol used to be a part of before learning of her true past on Earth) and the third features a young Monica Rambeau talking with Carol and a shot hinting that Goose is more than just an ordinary house cat:

Next up are a selection of featurettes, which include a wide variety of subjects, including one joking that Goose is the real star of the show, an explanation of who the Kree and Skrulls are, how they relate to Carol Danvers, and why they’re taking their war to Earth, Brie Larson’s physical training and preparation to become Captain Marvel (along with her praises of the character), the experiences of the film’s ensemble and how they enrich the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Samuel L. Jackson discussing how the movie will explore Nick Fury’s mysterious past. Check them all out below:

Finally, here are a few clips of the movie, showcasing how Carol interacts with Yon-Rogg during an intense training session, with Maria Rambeau as the two head off to pilot their jets, and with Nick Fury as she interrogates him to make sure he’s not a Skrull in disguise (while also quite violently proving that she’s no Skrull herself):

The film’s official synopsis is as follows:

Captain Marvel gets caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races.

Captain Marvel will be released on March 8, 2019.
