Pet Sematary Second Trailer Drops

Pet Sematary

Paramount have released the second trailer for their remake of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary, and it provides a much greater look at the film.

The trailer explains much more of the plot for the film, for anyone who isn’t familiar with King’s original story or the 1989 film adaption. The footage shown introduces us to the Creed family, who have moved into a bit of a creepy area out in the woods where locals wear animal masks when burying their dead pets at a cemetery out in the woods.

The family’s cat dies and they decide to bury it in this cemetery, only for it to come back to life. The cat is definitely reanimated, only now it seems a little ‘off’. When the family’s daughter gets hit by a truck, the father (Jason Clarke) decides to bury her at the cemetery in the hope of bringing her back to life. Naturally, when the girl comes back to life she’s demonic and tries to kill the rest of her family.

There’s a fair few jump scares in the trailer as the daughter re-introduces herself to her mother and father, and John Lithgow gets attacked by locals wearing animal masks. All in all, it looks terrifying. Pet Sematary seems set to follow in the footsteps of It and become another successful adaption of Stephen King’s works.
