New ‘Game of Thrones’ Photos Have Been Released
HBO have released a series of photos from the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones.
There are 14 photos in total, each showing a prominent cast member. As shown above, Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen have a photo together, reflecting their allegiance in the upcoming season. Cersei is the only character that has two, while Jon and Daenerys have individual photos.
One of Cersei’s photos has her standing alone at the top of a stairwell, forlornly staring down the hallway behind her. The photo sums up her status well ahead of the final season, after she was abandoned by Jaime in the Season 7 finale.
There are some notable absences from the photos, as fans are left in the lurch over the fate of Tormund Giantsbane. Theon Greyjoy, Yara Greyjoy and Melisandre are also missing.
The rest of the photos can be found on MakingGameOfThrones.com, giving us a look at characters like Arya Stark, Tyrion Lannister, Brienne of Tarth, and Jaime Lannister. Unfortunately, none of the photos give us any more clues about the characters’ arcs in the upcoming season, though Varys is sporting an eye-catching dark robe.
