As the marketing campaign heats on on Captain Marvel (set to release a little over a month from now), the first full clip arrives, showing Carol Danvers take on a Skrull atop a train. In addition, a new TV spot reveals a character who will have significance in future Marvel movies.

Appearing originally on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the action clip shows Captain Marvel in her first outfit as Phil Coulson and Nick Fury, rookie S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, keep on the chase:

Meanwhile, the new TV spot features our first look at a young Monica Rambeau, who should become a superhero decades from now, as she admires the new coat of paint on Captain Marvel’s uniform:

Set in the 1990s, a Kree super-soldier named Vers crash-lands on Earth and slowly realizes that she had a life on the planet. Meeting with future S.H.I.E.L.D. leader Nick Fury (who is effectively a desk jockey at this time and not the hardened super-spy that we know and love), she discovers her true identity as Carol Danvers, an expert pilot. Continuing her mission as a Kree warrior to stop a Skrull invasion, Danvers discovers that the truth about her past is much more complicated than her Kree allies have told her, and realizes that she may be better suited to guard Earth than to invade it.

Captain Marvel will be released on March 8, 2019.
