Watch A New Teaser For ‘Shazam’
Warner Bros. has released a new teaser for Shazam, with a whole bunch of new footage.
Not only does it give us a good look at Mark Strong’s villain Doctor Sivana, but we get another gag in the grocery store to serve as a great reminder of the movie’s tone.

We can see what looks like Sivana flying after Shazam in an aerial chase through the city, as well as a separate scene where he shoots lightning bolts from his hands. We can also see he has his special left eye that allows him to detect magic, which will presumably come in handy when fighting Billy Batson, who gets his powers from a wizard.
Sivana is Shazam’s arch nemesis, so it will be interesting if the character survives this film, or whether he’s used as a one-note villain to serve as an antagonist to Billy. This is the most we’ve seen of the character in any footage so far, so it’s difficult to tell how much focus he’ll get throughout the film.
Shazam hits theatres on April 5 2019.
