He’s the One Who Does the Killing – Full Trailer for ‘The Punisher’ Season 2 Arrives
Frank Castle returns to Netflix next week in what may well be his swan song, but if this is to be his final battle then he’s certainly going down fighting. The full trailer for The Punisher season two has arrived.
After last season, Castle is a man without a mission for the first time since we met him, but a chance meeting in a bar gives him a new fight and sets him on a collision course with an old adversary.
“You know, it’s almost like you were happy for the excuse.” Giorgia Whigham’s Amy tells Castle. And she isn’t wrong, the fight is in Castle’s blood. In Amy, Jon Bernthal’s Castle finds someone who shares the pain of his loss, and that’s all the motivation he needs to take up her cause.
Castle’s return from retirement doesn’t just bring back the Punisher, it brings back his greatest enemy. Since their brutal confrontation Billy Russo (Ben Barnes) has dreamed about the Punisher every night, so when those hunting Amy offer him the chance to kill them both he’s only too happy to take it, setting the former friends turned bitter enemies on the path to a final showdown.
Judging by the trailer, The Punisher season two looks to be the most violent of Marvel’s Netflix series so far. As the man says, “Let me be what I’m meant to be.”
The Punisher returns to Netflix January 18th.
