First Poster Released for ‘The Lion King’
Following yesterday’s trailer, Simba has some big paws to fill in the official teaser poster for Disney’s The Lion King.
The poster doesn’t even feature the movie’s title. Just the simple, iconic image of the young lion cub stepping out of the shadows, his small paw dwarfed by his father’s footprint, as he begins his journey to become King of Pride Rock.
And whilst we’re mentioning his father, how amazing was it to hear James Earl Jones as Mufasa again in that trailer? And not just him. Lebo M sounds as incredible as ever as he belts out the opening to ‘Circle of Life’. The teaser trailers for Disney’s live action adaptations often play to the audiences musical nostalgia and this was certainly no exception. Just hearing the music again brings back so many emotions. Combined with James Earl Jones’ voice over and the faithfully recreated imagery, the teaser felt like it was announcing the return of an old friend.
The King will return July 19th 2019.
