“This is the End” – First Trailer for ‘Gotham’ Season 5 Released
“I’m just trying to keep this city from falling apart.” Gordon tells Barbara in the first trailer for Gotham‘s final season. Judging by this first trailer, her reply “You’re too late” might just be an understatement.
The show’s creative team always promised that we’d see the city descend into chaos to show why it is necessary for Bruce to become Batman. It certainly looks like they’re delivering on that promise! In a no man’s land that’s been given over to criminals we see Gotham‘s villains running rampage. Penguin. Scarecrow. Riddler. Jeremiah, the man who will be Joker. And Bane.
But there is also hope. A signal lights the night sky, Selina’s eyes tease her final transformation into Catwoman, and Bruce Wayne fights to reclaim his city. The season’s subtitle, Legend of the Dark Knight, all but promises an appearance from the man he will become as Gotham’s skyline and reflection form the symbol of a bat.
Gotham returns January 3rd 2019 on FOX.
