Behind the Scenes Video Released for ‘Aquaman’
Next month DC will take audiences on an under the sea adventure unlike anything they have experience before. Now, Warner Bros. have released a glimpse behind the scenes of James Wan’s Aquaman in a new video.
There’s plenty of new footage to digest in the three minute featurette and the way Wan and his team have used practical effects to create much of Aquaman‘s under sea world is extremely impressive.
More important than the effects though, is story and character. As Wan himself says in the video; “the most important thing is the story that I’m telling. Whether it’s a scary set piece or a dramatic moment it all comes down to the characters and if you care about them.” It’s an area when DC have struggled in the past, but based on this look behind the scenes, as well as last month’s extended trailer, it appears that Aquaman will have the heart and character it needs to connect with audiences the way Wonder Woman did so successfully.
Aquaman swims into theaters December 21st.
