‘Toy Story 4’ Gets a Teaser Trailer

Woody, Buzz, Jessie and Forky in Toy Story 4

It’s been eight years since Toy Story 3 premiered in theatres, and now we have a glimpse at the fourth instalment in the franchise.

It’s not much; the 90-second trailer essentially serves as a casting round-up for the film. The classic characters all appear, holding each other’s hands, with one notable addition: a spork-turned-craft-project called Forky (voiced by Tony Hale).

Forky’s shtick appears to be that he doesn’t consider himself a toy, yet he’s fallen in with the gang anyway and believes he shouldn’t be there. In fact, he’d happily skip this adventure entirely if he could. Presumably his arc across the film will be learning to accept his place alongside his new friends.

Toy Story 4 will see Woody, Buzz & Co. go on a road trip with their new toy pal. Woody has always been confident of his place in the world, taking care of his kid, whether it’s Andy or his new owner Bonnie, but this trip looks set to change all that as our favourite cowboy is about to learn  just how big the world can be for a toy.

The film will be directed by Josh Cooley (Riley’s First Date) and produced by Jonas Rivera (Inside Out, Up) and Mark Nielsen (associate producer of Inside Out). Longtime fans will be glad to know that Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and Joan Cusack reprise the roles of Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie respectively.

Toy Story 4 floats into theatres on 21 June 2019. Are you excited to see Woody and Buzz’s next adventure? Stay tuned to Movie News Net for more updates as they come.
