John Boyega and Letitia Wright to Star in ‘Hold Back the Stars’

John Boyega (Star Wars) and Letitia Wright (Black Panther) are set to share the screen next year, starring in the sci-fi adaptation Hold Back the Stars.

According to Deadline the adaptation, which is generating quite a buzz in Hollywood, is based on Katie Khan’s novel of the same name which was released last year by Simon and Schuster. The story follows a man and woman (Boyega and Wright) reliving the memories of their love affair on Earth whilst they are trapped in the void of space, slowly running out of oxygen. It’s described by Deadline as Romeo and Juliet meets Gravity, which probably gives you a clue as to how it will end.

Hold Back the Stars is set to be directed by Mike Cahill from a script by Christy Hall. No release date has been set. Shawn Levy’s 21 Laps is producing.

Boyega and Wright are currently two of Hollywood’s most sought after young stars. Boyega will next appear in Star Wars: Episode IX, whilst Wright will return to the MCU in Avengers 4.
